Copyright and Licensing
Pakistan Journal of Nutrition retains authors’ copyright, with authors granting the journal the right to publish and disseminate their accepted articles while maintaining full ownership of their work. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This means readers may freely access, reuse, share, and adapt the content, inclusive of for commercial purposes, as long as proper credit is given to the authors and the journal. Articles are available immediately upon publication, without any access charges.
Author Ownership
Authors retain full copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, they grant the journal a license to publish and distribute their article.
Open Access Licensing
All articles are freely available to read, download, and share without charge. We apply a standard open license that allows non-commercial use, such as reading, copying, and sharing, so long as the authors and journal are credited. Any commercial use or creation of adapted versions requires explicit permission.
Permissions for Reuse
Readers can use full-text content for non-commercial purposes (like teaching, research, or personal study) without seeking additional permission. For any commercial reuse, such as reprinting, translations, or adaptations, users should contact the journal for approval.
Self-Archiving Rights (Green Open Access)
Authors are free to archive their accepted manuscript (before final formatting) in personal or institutional repositories immediately after acceptance. The final published version (formatted PDF) can be shared publicly only after a 12-month embargo.

To ensure the permanent availability of all articles, the journal maintains secure preservation in trusted digital repositories and encourages authors to share their work in such archives following the policies above.
