Abstract

Six commercial brands of powdered milk produced in Nigeria were analyzed for their major and trace element composition. The products were found to be good sources of mineral nutrients except for sodium. This paper suggests the need for regular intake of this brand of processed milk so as to derive optimal benefits from its reservoir of major and trace elements.
